Wheel Chocks & The Salvo Loading Dock Safety Interlock System
Wheel chocks are not required with Salvo!
Salvo wheel chocks used in conjunction with a Salvo Glad Hand Interlock System offers customers a new level of dock safety never available before.
There are a wide range of wheel chock and wheel chock systems designed to prevent trailer movement during loading/unloading operations but do not prevent unscheduled truck departure. The Salvo Glad Hand Interlock System enforces the current braking regulation and prevents the trailer from being driven away while the trailer is being loaded or unloaded.
Customers receive these additional safety benefits with Salvo:
- Ensures trailer brakes are applied to minimize trailer movement during loading operation.
- Interlocks trailer with the loading dock door to prevent unscheduled truck departure before it happens!
Castell offers several Salvo wheel chocks designed to meet the OSHA 1910.178
The brakes of highway trucks shall be set and wheel chocks placed under the rear wheels to prevent the trucks from rolling while they are boarded with powered industrial trucks.
