Trailer Restraint Systems

Dock or trailer restraints offer a number of safety benefits at the loading dock. The Salvo Glad Hand Interlock system enhances the performance of trailer restraints by adding an additional level of safety to prevent the trailer from being driven away "Unscheduled Departure" before it happens!

There are a wide range of Dock restraints on the market today. When used with Salvo the customer receives these additional benefits:

• Ensures trailer brakes are applied to minimize trailer movement during loading operation.
• Enforces the current FMSCA/OSHA Braking Regulation. (Safety Resource Section)
• Interlocks trailer with the loading dock door to prevent unscheduled truck departure before it happens. Thereby protecting the restraint, trailers ICC bar, and building from potential damage.
• Can be used by the dock attendant when a restraint is put into the “lights only” mode for a trailer that arrives at the dock that can't be serviced by the restraint system.
• Can be used to provide additional safety for the dock attendant when a dock restraint is tagged out for repair or service.
